It's been a while since I last posted and my health journey has been a roller coaster. I've been bouncing around between 191 and 196 since I last officially weighed in.
About a month ago we participated in
Color Me Rad. It was so much fun and exciting to be alive and involved. Then my knee hurt for almost a week after. It was awful. I felt kinda helpless having my body not being as able to do the things I want to do. This is when I backed off my workout intensity and frequency.

I have still been pretty active overall; hiking, biking, jogging, dancing,
swimming, kayaking, camping, some strength training and organizing my house but not with
the same dedication I had a few months ago.

Kayaking around Swan Lake |
But my real downfall has been dealing with financial stress. I have been falling into some of my old eating habits. As I'm snacking away I am so disappointed in myself for being so weak.
Then this last weekend we did
The Dirty Dash and had an absolute blast! I love the feeling of being out there and trying something new. And the feeling of being able to complete the obstacles that I know I couldn't have done before. It reminded me of how much I DON'T WANT TO go back to that dark place I lived in before.

Such a fun event! |
I think it's easy to get bogged down in the day to day of life and forget that being healthy should be fun, exciting and FEEL GOOD! I haven't been on my A game lately but that's ok. Not every day is going to be perfect. But that doesn't mean I'm going to give up.
Tomorrow, and everyday, is a blank canvas and I want fill it up with the bright colors of a life lived to the fullest!
Don't give up and go at the pace u want to. U are still doing so great!
